9 month well check today!

I took Nathan to his 9 month well check today. It was a great visit! He is 18 pounds 6 ounces, which puts him in the 10th percentile for weight....but when you look at him he looks much bigger than that...go figure! All the doctor wants now is for him to start learning how to drink from a cup....this might be hard...but we will continue to try.

The checked his Hemoglobin count and it was 13.9...which is GREAT!!!!

He then came home and slept for 2 1/2 straight. So today was a good day.

New place to keep up with Nathan!

Hello Everyone!

I have set this up because it seems there are some limitations on the CaringBridge website. One is that you cant really post too many pictures! Hopefully everyone will continue to follow Nathan. He is 9 months old now. He has two teeth and four more coming in! He can crawl and just recently mastered sitting up. I am so proud of him! The doctors all said he might be late to do all these things so this is a big accomplishment to say the least.

If you would like to learn more on Nathan's heart condition here are some great websites

I want to emphasize how blessed we are that Nathan is doing so well. I now belong to a support group for parents with kids just like Nathan. A lot of them have not been so lucky. I know we are just beginning with Nathan, but he has proven he can handle it!

Now - what about Joshua you might ask! Well let me tell you he is amazing too! He is 2 1/2 now. He knows his letters and can count to 10! He can tell you where he lives too:-) He is "working" on being a great brother. He has his days where all he wants to do is kiss Nathan, then there are days that when Nathan grabs one of his toys he says "Mama! Baby attacking my toy!" and then starts to put his toys on the couch were Nathan cant reach them. But he really is a great brother!

Well that is all for now!
